Name: Chloe Cuff

Job Title: Associate Director, Business Development

How long have you been working at Planet Pharma?

More than 3 years.

Favorite part of the workday?

Logging on before 7:00am and getting some work done before everyone else wakes up.

Career Highlights

So many! If I had to choose, I would say being able to travel and meet some great clients. I love the variety of people I get to meet, many of whom I would even consider friends. I also love being part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at The Planet Group.

What advice would you give to aspiring recruiters?

Find the right company that fits in with your values and make sure you’re surrounded by people working towards the same goals. Have fun—because it’s not easy, so you need to enjoy it. Being driven and self-motivated are very important when it comes to being successful.

Why should someone consider a career at The Planet Group?

The people are incredible. In addition to that, we use a 180 model (instead of a 360 model, which most staffing agencies use). This gives you the best platform to help clients, candidates, and yourself succeed.

Tell us more about Planet’s 180 model.

In a 360 model, you end up doing the job of two people—typically focusing on both sales and recruiting. In a 180 model, you get to really focus on what you enjoy and are good at. Meaning, the service to candidates and clients is first rate. We are able to react with speed and quality to fill any role.

What’s it been like working during the pandemic?

Planet has really looked after their staff—for example, bosses have travelled to people’s hometowns for a walk in the local park so they could get some face-to-face time and still abide by local lockdown rules. And we’ve begun a new tradition in “Planet Pub” where the whole team gets together virtually, which helps to keep our spirits high.

Something we wouldn’t know about you by looking at your resume?

I am a massive plant, yoga and long-distance swimming lover. I recently moved and had to downsize my plant collection – I had over 75 house plants! I also try to make sure I get in the pool at least three times a week when COVID restrictions allow it!
