How does it feel to be recognized by your colleagues and what was your secret to success this month?
It feels great to be recognised by my peers and I appreciate them all. My secret was just working extra hard, it’s that simple! Wasting no time getting on the phone and speaking to people, putting in the hours, working smarter and using my experience to place great candidates in great roles.
Talk us through your recruitment experience and areas of expertise?
I have almost 7 years of recruitment experience. My area of expertise is within Pharmacovigilance, and my strength is in contract and high-level permanent positions, but I can place any role. My strongest skill is the ability to find great candidates. In April, I made placements with Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical, and Research nurses with a variety of clients across Europe.
You started at Planet with no previous recruitment experience and have had several promotions during your time here – What would your advice be to those looking to progress in their recruitment career?
Work hard! I play to win all the time; I am very competitive, so I would say that’s an important trait, and I am self-motivated. Treat your candidates how you would like to be treated: with respect and integrity. Work hard and always ask for help because no matter how experienced you are, you can always learn something new.
What would you say is unique about our culture here?
We all get along with one another. You have a great and supportive leadership team who are always available and open to listening to everyone’s ideas.
What’s one thing you’d like for potential candidates and clients to know about Planet Pharma?
We take providing quality candidates to our clients very seriously and also provide good customer service to our candidates. We have grown tremendously since I joined with a bigger client network.
Tell us more about you. Do you have any hobbies or hidden talents?
No hidden talents for me. Sometimes I wish I was a really good singer but some would still say I am the best singer in the office. I mainly spend my time in the gym to show off whilst on holiday. I mean, who wouldn’t?
If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why?
Can being the richest man in the world be a superpower? If not, then I would love to be invincible whenever I want so I can go to places & take things without anyone noticing 😉.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?
Anywhere as long as it’s hot and they have a lovely beach. I have yet to visit any South American countries, so maybe somewhere in Brazil or Asia, and Bali would be a great destination.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working in Recruitment?
Great question. I am not sure. Football didn’t work out for me as a player so maybe something in sports management.

Hard work, tenacity, a team player and someone who can identify the right candidates for our amazing clients!
