Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer

Role Overview

Responsible for all clinical programs, to advance the development of novel prescription digital therapeutics to treat chronic disease. This role is responsible for developing a broad pipeline of novel prescription digital therapeutics from early-stage feasibility studies through pivotal and real-world evidence trials. Serving as an intermediary between the CMO, CEO, Board, Contract Research Organizations, Regulatory Agencies, Institutional Review Boards and subject matter experts, displaying adept collaboration, communications, and leadership skills.

Experience

MD, or MD/PhD, and 15+ years prior clinical experience ideally in treating cardiometabolic conditions.

Search Methodology 

  • Kick-o meeting with the Chief Medical Offcer.
  • Initial consultation with 60+ prospective candidates.
  • Fully screened 21 of the candidates.
  • Qualified and presented 11 of the candidates to the client.

Selection Process

11 candidates went through multiple initial interviews with the CMO. With digital therapeutics being a relatively new and innovative space, it was important to have detailed screenings to deeply assess technical capabilities in addition to soft skills. The client was looking for someone with a deep passion for and compelling interest in the technology and innovation brought about by the eective introduction of Digital Therapeutics.

In addition, cultural t was of particular importance to this client and our team provided direct support by conducting customized Leadership Assessments with the top three candidates and providing detailed reports to the client hiring team. These three candidates were subsequently progressed to the official second stage to meet with the CEO, one finalist was invited to present to the entire Executive Leadership Team and have Round Table discussions with the Board as a final stage of the process. We worked closely with the ELT to plan a compelling offer and secure the successful candidate.
