What was your experience prior to joining Planet?
Before joining Planet Pharma, I was working as a PA within the Financial Industry.
Why did you choose to join Planet?
Working in the staffing industry had never crossed my mind, however, I was made aware of Planet through a family friend that worked there. I was immediately sold by the pure honesty of some members of the team, especially considering I had no prior experience within the role. The model was also a huge attraction for me, as operating at 180 and becoming successful within one core area (which was candidate recruitment when I first joined) would allow for more time to build relationships and focus on just the candidate’s needs.
Since joining, what has kept you here?
The down-to-earth nature of the team, the ample opportunity for growth (I was able to transition into a completely new department in 2021 that I knew would suit me and my goals better) and the diversification of my role (no day is the same and that is very exciting)! Not only this, but every day I come into work, I feel valued, recognized and respected!
What do you think makes Planet Pharma different to other Staffing/Recruitment businesses?
Definitely our 180 model, our people and the opportunity, support and chances we are given!
What do you enjoy most about working here?
- Working with a diverse range of clients and colleagues
- Having the ability to work flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home
- I may not be the most senior employee in my team, but my input and suggestions are always asked for
- The culture we have – we are a collaborative team who work hard and also know how to have fun (we have great socials!)
Biggest achievement since working at Planet?
Receiving the ‘Best Newcomer Award’ for the year 2019
What advice would you give to anyone considering a career in Recruitment?
Have self-confidence and always put your hand up! Create relationships and take time in building those; get to know who you are talking to and add a personal touch!
Do you have a Party Trick or Hidden talent?
My hidden talent is painting! I am actually quite artistic!
Favorite place to go on Holiday?
Cornwall or the South of France (too hard to choose!)
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a Detective! Probably from watching too much Midsomer Murders with my Gran!
Favorite film/Netflix series – Love the films Hacksaw Ridge and Man on Fire and really enjoyed the first season of Bridgerton!
If you could have dinner with one Celebrity, who would it be & why?
Gerard Butler – who wouldn’t want to sit across from that…!
